Every month that has a 5th Sunday this year, we will participate in service projects throughout the metro - with serving opportunities spread across Saturday and Sunday of that weekend.

Our desire is to be a blessing to our local community and strengthen the relationships within our own body by serving alongside one another. We want our practice to match our beliefs - to worship in Spirit and truth while thinking more highly of others than we do ourselves, and using our resources to serve them.

We encourage you to get involved and help us share the sacrificial love of Christ with our neighbors!

Due to information needed by SPP, registration for Single Parent Provision will closed on Monday, August 17th at 6pm!

All other serving opportunities will be open for registration until Monday, August 24th at 6:00pm

Bidwell Riverside Center (Saturday, August 29th - 10:00am - 12:00pm)

This project will consist of organizing food shelves, cleaning and various other projects around the food pantry and daycare.  This project is kid friendly.

Project Location: 1203 Hartford Avenue, Des Moines, IA, 50315

 

Many Hands Thrift Market - Clive (Saturday, August 29th 8:30am-10:30am)

This project will consist of organizing and putting away items in the store. This project is kid friendly.

Project Location:  8801 University Ave, Clive, IA 50325

Single Parent Provision (TBD - Saturday, August 29th - 1:30pm - 3:30pm)

Projects for SPP vary and may include tasks such as cleaning, yard work, painting, organizing, small repair projects, etc. These projects are generally older children friendly.

Project Location: TBD – Will depend on what project is chosen, based on sign ups. You will receive an email notifying of the specific location and project once sign ups are closed (August 17th).

Spurgeon Manor (Saturday, August 29th - 10:00am - 12:00pm)

This project consist of spending time with various residents. Activities may include card playing, board games, going outside to the courtyard, or perhaps just chatting. This project is kid friendly.

JOPPA (Sunday, August 30th - 10:30-11:30)

This project consists of packaging warm meals into sacks, for JOPPA to distribute to the homeless in the community. This project is kid friendly.
