What is Together for Good?

Together for Good (TFG) creates pathways for the local church to come alongside vulnerable children and families in Christ-centered ministry. Together, we work to ensure that families never walk alone.

When parents face a crisis without a support system, they become vulnerable, which increases the risk of trauma for children. 

TFG offers a safe home for children so that parents can pursue stability. This happens through host families, who are trained volunteers who welcome at-risk children into their homes – without being paid – for either short-term or long-term care. Additionally, TFG trains and connects parent advocates to TFG participant parents to provide ongoing relational support so that parents can focus on being the best parents that they can be.

 

What is This Training?

Foundational Trainings are the starting place for all TFG volunteers who plan to host or serve as a parent advocate.

If you are interested in joining the work and helping support families in crisis, this training is for you!

 

A Few Logistics

• Childcare will be provided on-site by members of Harvest Bible Chapel.
  • Childcare will open at 5:15 pm
• A full dinner is not provided, but you are welcome to bring meals with you if you would like.
  • Snacks and refreshments will be provided
