Book Overview – Judges • 01.09.21

Summary of the book:

God has made a people to be his own, who would worship and obey him alone and represent him to the world. Instead, they chose to worship other gods and do what was right in their own eyes. This disobedience invited God’s just discipline which produced temporary sorrow/conviction but not true repentance. The people continued to pursue their own desires to their own destruction. God moved and worked time and again, but the people continued their downward spiral. They are left divided, dysfunctional, and desperately in need of a Righteous King/Savior.
