Why is Training Important?
Many Christians feel they aren’t equipped to counsel. Yet, when our brothers and sisters in Christ encounter trials, suffering, and sin, we are called to help them “grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,” by speaking the truth in love.
ACBC provides training to equip Christians to minister God’s Word faithfully to those in their life. The Fundamentals Training Course is a lecture course on the basics of biblical counseling. Taking this course will give you an introduction to the essential elements of biblical counseling. It’s a great first step in counseling training!
The Fundamentals Training Course also completes the training portion of Phase 1 for those pursuing certification.
Step 1: Register for the Training Cohort
Harvest Counseling is facilitating a Counseling Training Cohort that will cover the ACBC Fundamentals Training Videos (31 hours) through First Counseling (Jax, FL - Pastor Heath Lambert). This will help train attenders with the fundamentals of biblical counseling and will count toward Phase 1 of ACBC's certification process. In order to join us for this Cohort, you must successfully complete all 3 steps of registration on this page.

Step 2: Register with ACBC
For this training to be eligible for Phase 1 of ACBC’s certification process, you must first create an account with ACBC. If you already have an account, this step is not necessary.
Upon registering with ACBC, you will receive your certification dashboard ID #.
Step 3: Register with First Counseling
Next, register with First Counseling with your ACBC ID #.
