About Harvest Students
About Harvest Students

We exist to glorify God through the fulfillment of the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment. Our goal is to raise up the next generation of Jesus’ followers by equipping 6th-12th grade students to know Christ (1 Cor 2:2), grow in Christ (Eph 4:12-16), and show Christ to others (Eph 6:19-20). We aim to do this on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm through singing, prayer, teaching, and small groups that are Biblically accurate and age-appropriate.

What To Expect
What To Expect

Whether you are in middle school or high school, you can expect to…

  • Connect with other students in a compelling community
  • Participate in passionate worship and fervent prayer
  • Hear bold, Biblical, and relevant preaching
  • Be purposefully discipled in a small group
  • Grow in courageous evangelism

When you arrive on a Wednesday night, you will be greeted by a group of leaders who will welcome you without judgment and connect you with other students. From there, you will spend half of the night in corporate worship through song, prayer, and study of the Bible. The other half of the night will be spent in age and gender-specific small groups to further apply the lesson and spend time praying for one another. That’s not to mention there is always fellowship and food at some point during the night.

If you have more questions about what to expect, contact Pastor Jack Flaherty at jackf@harvestdesmoines.org
